Many people say Anderson .Paak and Super Duper Kyle put Oxnard and Ventura, Ca on the map. Although it's true, it's been a while since another star has emerged from the city. Allen Custodio, better known as "Senseii" raised in Yokosuka, Japan is set to be the next artist to take over the city and beyond. Senseii began writing at the age of 13 and his penmanship has flourished him into the artist he is today. While most new artist look for a simple hook and a beat to leapfrog them into a viral hit, the "4am" artist uses in depth lyrics painting a Picasso like story through his songs. Typically people know very little about the artist they listen too. They hide behind trappy beats with dope hooks and just enough substance to intrigue. But Senseii gives a continuous description of lost love, difficult tribulations, and an uncomfortable past. When listening to the single father of two, he leaves nothing on the table as he describes true heartbreak and reaching redemption.
With a plethora of singles stashed in his computer he's began to unleash new music bi-weekly as his fans have grown from a 200 listeners to a modest 26k in three months. But he hasn't done it alone. Many great artist have a team and although the team is small he and music producer/friend Andrew have been cooking up music every day. From building a local buzz in Jacksonville, Florida to stamping his name on the rap game in Oxnard, California, Senseii has become a rising artist in our eyes. Do not let the long hair fool you! With songs like "Evolved" "4ever" "Devotion" "Drip" "4am" & "Farewell" he's just getting started. Wake up 805 there's an artist that deserves your attention.
Senseii - When you chase after something you truly have passion for…… in my eyes it will never be smooth, but well worth the growth & lessons. Providing for your family while still keeping your dream alive, balancing your relationships alongside making time for yourself. Putting in the hours to learn the craft with the little resources you have because you don’t have the funds to pay someone that is more experienced. So I can say things may not have been so easy but what it success without sacrifice. I can look back within those years and be proud of the many tribulations I have overcame.
