Luminary Sounds was created by Odell Davis "Junior LLedo', an actor, singer, songwriter, and music producer from Bay St Louis, Mississippi. With longtime friend Francis Ampiaw, "Francois The Great" an actor, music critic, video producer, and video host from Worcester, Massachusetts. The name "Luminary Sounds" was derivative by Junior LLedo. It is the title of his 3rd studio album. Instead of self-promoting the album LLedo decided to promote other independent artists. Upon finding artists and sharing their music, Luminary Sounds started gaining notoriety throughout the Indie Music scene as artists were quickly requesting to have their music featured. In a short time Luminary Sounds has discovered several Indie Artist that have found mainstream success. Lucky Daye, The Bonfyre, Summer Walker, and Pink $weats are just a few that have been discovered on Luminary Sounds. The movement has emerged from sharing music, to music reviews, in depth interviews, and live performances. It's to no surprise that Luminary Sounds understands the daily grind of the Independent Artist because the platform is ran by Independent Artists.
